Lululemon teams up with Addams Family

Ok, maybe not......But....

I can't help but make comparisons between Lululemon's Virasana Blanket Wrap and Uncle Fester's own version of it. When I saw Lulu's Wrap, I saw Uncle Fester. Take the the thick, high collar of the Virasana Wrap and the side zip. It just looks ridiculous. It is also completely unflattering when worn opened.

Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks this wrap looks like Uncle Fester's coat! Other Lulu buyers have commented on this wrap, stating, "Uncle Fester from Adams Family is missing his coat!! This new wrap is very creepy looking." (November 8, 2013 at 1:38AM). Also this comment....."Just saw this wrap in my store today and YUCK it looks like a straight jacket from a psych ward." (November 7, 2013 at 10:16AM).

Lululemon has some great designs but this one is a bust.

Fluff Off Pullover

Lululemon has come out with a "Fluff Off" pullover. Here is another Lululemon piece that I think has an awesome design and functional wise. This pullover is designed to make your body look slim but curvy in the right places, which is what a well designed piece of clothing should do. The Matte Glyde fabric is perfectly placed to accentuate your curves. It fits TTS. I like how it's longer in the back so it gives you good coverage. I thought of sizing up just in case I wanted to wear something thicker underneath but I tried a long sleeve top underneath my regular size and it fit perfectly so I didn't size up. Plus, you wouldn't want to look bulky in a size larger.

What drew me to this pullover was the addition of the 800 fill goose down. The best count you can get is 900 fill so the 800 count is good. It has enough down to keep you warm but not bulky looking.

My favourite material is RULU and the sleeves and side panels are super soft. The Herringbone design is a nice contrast to the black panels. The thumbholes and Cuffin sleeves are essential for this pullover to keep your hands warm and the cute sayings on them are a really nice touch. These little details is what sets Lulu clothes apart from other companies. It would be great if they kept this standard with ALL their clothes, as not all of their clothing designs are meeting with success in the Lulu population. 

The Cruiser 2.0

Here's my first official blog about something as simple as Lululemon's Cruiser 2.0 backpack. Lululemon is a company that sometimes comes out with some innovative products. This backpack has a ton of zipped pockets both inside and outside. There is an ample interior mesh pocketing system designed to keep everything organized. There is a padded pocket designed to fit a 17" (43 cm) laptop. They have also included a removable wet/dry pouch to help keep your sweaty gear separate. For those of you who do the yoga thing, there is a removable strap and hammock to store almost any sized yoga mat. If you get caught in the rain, you can pull out the stowable water-resistant rain cover to keep your backpack dry. How cool is that? It's tested to hold 50 lbs (22kg), but hopefully you won't have to carry that much!
This bag is my go to bag for everything from school stuff, travelling and day to day activities. Great design and function!
